Car Accident & Whiplash

Our strength grows

                   out of our weakness

Your life can be turned upside down in the matter of seconds.

A car crash can be debilitating for you and your family. Cadence Chiropractic is here to help you get things back on track after your car accident in any way we can. We understand that all you want after a car crash is to just get rid of the pain which is why we take care of everything else for you while you get better.

At Cadence Chiropractic we specialize in a technique that has no twisting, popping, or cracking known as activator. What we found in our research following car accidents, is that the whiplash injury was often aggravated by the traditional style of chiropractic. With the activator technique we can be much more gentle and much more specific to combat the negative effects of whiplash.

Whiplash is the most common injury following a car crash because of the massive amounts of acceleration and deceleration. We have found in the research that damage can happen in two

ways: the first is on initial impact when your head is thrown forward or back.

The second injury in whiplash actually occurs as your body over compensates

for the initial movement and slams your head in the opposite direction. The

action of whiplash will tear the ligaments lining your neck as well as shift the

bones out of position. Our goal for whiplash patients following a car accident

is to encourage healing as soon as possible, the sooner you start care the

better. We can help guide the ligaments and bones back to the proper position as it heals to ensure no long lasting issues.

Car accidents don't just cause whiplash but we have also seen many issues with herniated disks

and low back pain. The impact of a car crash can be so violent that it causes the bones to                                                                      shift and rupture the disks of your low back. Low back pain and whiplash are by far the most                                                                common injuries. We work with you to make sure that every part of your spine is functioning the way                                           way that it was intended to prevent further damage or debilitation.

If you were involved in a small car crash or as we often call it a fender bender should you seek                                                            care? Absolutely. We have found in the research that most cases of whiplash after a car accident                                                          will have a delayed effect and can take up to 48 hours for symptoms to occur. It has also been                                                              shown that the most common occurrence of injury during a car accident is when the vehicle                                                                speeds are under 15 miles per hour. This means that the amount of damage to your car does not correlate to the amount of damage to your body.

In any case a car accident is a serious thing that can lead to debilitating issues if not addressed quickly and correctly.

Testimonial: Jorge

"I was in a car accident that left me with terrible low back and neck pain. I had herniated discs in my neck and back that gave me severe migraines daily. The accident turned my life upside down, I lost my job and I was unable to do the things I love with my family. I started care at another chiropractor but never saw any improvement, lucky one of my friends had just started care with Dr Nelson so I gave it a try. The difference in his technique and style was very clear. Within a few weeks I saw improvement where I had none the previous 3 months with the other guy. Today I am back to work and I can do everything I need to with my family. I am so grateful that I found Dr Nelson and Cadence Chiropractic."
