To Moms We Love
This month we celebrate Mother’s Day, I want to give a huge thank you to all the mothers out there that selflessly give everything they have for the good of others. I am deeply grateful for my mother that has supported me in all that I do. It was my mother that taught me the meaning of service and her example as a nurse that drove me to the health care profession and ultimately to become a chiropractor.
Watching my own wife mother our children has given me such a new respect for all that women do for us and makes me constantly reflect on what we can do for you. My question this month is what do you do to maintain yourself as a mom. Too often we see mothers exhaust everything they are for others; I believe that you always need to stop and “treat yo self”. Remember the old saying “if Mom aint happy no one is happy”.
What do you do for self-care? There are many things that you can do, chiropractic being one of them. We have had many cases of mothers that could not pick up their kids because of back pain but fought through it anyway, once under care they found everything just a little easier as their body started to function properly. Other mothers have suffered from migraines that made their daily tasks virtually impossible and once under care they have seen those migraines disappear and they felt more in control of their responsibilities.
The main thing to remember is that you need to take time for yourself and as my wife says “fill your cup”. Don’t let things go so long that they make it impossible to do the simple things. Take care of yourself now so that you can take care of others later. We want to know how you fill your cup and take care of or find enjoyment in yourself. Please let us know and share your ideas with others.
If you know of a mother in need that should be taking some time for herself in the Lehi, American Fork or Pleasant Grove areas please let them know about us because we are here to serve those that have served so much.
