How It All Works
What to expect when you visit for your first time.
At Cadence Chiropractic we are focused on serving you as a whole person and not just a symptom. We will perform a thorough examination that focuses on the function of your body and takes into consideration all of your health needs and goals. As a neurologically based chiropractic office, we will focus on your nervous system since it controls and coordinates every function of your body. After a complete evaluation, we will create a customized corrective care plan that fits you individually.
Step one
Each new practice member is expected to fill out the health application as thoroughly as possible. This is used to help determine the specific needs of your case so that we can serve you best. To save yourself time in the office please fill out our new practice member paperwork.
Step Two
A complete consultation will be performed one-on-one to discuss your current health concerns and past health history. We will discuss your goals and needs and discover the many layers that make up your health. This consultation will help us determine exactly what tests and evaluations are necessary for your case.
Step Three
A comprehensive chiropractic and neurological evaluation will be performed to further determine the cause of your health concerns. We will use our state of the art technology to determine the levels of dysfunction in your nervous system and to help us determine any further diagnostic testing that might be necessary. This testing will also give us a baseline that helps us monitor your progress through care. This technology is essential because it gives us an objective look at how your body is functioning without relying completely on how you "feel" on any given day.
You may be asked to perform other specific test as follows.

Bend forward, backward or side to side: this helps us determine areas in your spine that might be dysfunctional. As those bones shift out of alignment, you can experience a decrease in range of motion or pain during movement.

Perform specific orthopedic tests to help determine the specific components of your health concern.

Gait analysis to determine imbalance in your walking pattern: Small changes in your feet, knees, and pelvis can have a chain reaction up your spine and can be the cause of many issues like low back pain, neck pain, and even headaches.

Posture analysis to view the structure of your spine: This is an essential step because proper structure will lead to proper function and misalignments in your spine can be a major cause of neurological interference.
Our Technology
Thermography: Measures heat differences on both sides of your spine which gives us a look at how balanced your spine is.
EMG: Using the same technology as an EKG for your heart we measure the activity of your muscles. This allows us to measure the stress on your body caused by neurological interference.
Heart Rate Variability: Measures the balance of your nervous system and your body's ability to adapt to stress. The inability to adapt to stress is a major cause of chronic disease.
Step Four
The doctor will determine if any additional diagnostic tests are necessary such as x-rays. X-rays give us vital information including the structure of your spine and the safety of adjusting it. X-rays give us more information on how long the underlying spinal weakness has been present and helps us make the best recommendations for your corrective care plan. To see is to know and not to see is to guess. The one thing that we will never do is guess when it comes to your health.
Step Five
Your most important visit with us will be your doctor report of findings. In this visit we will sit down with you and go over all of our findings and discuss our recommendations for corrective care. Your corrective care plan is based on all of the diagnostics that we collect as well as your personal health goals. We take into account all aspects of your life and utilize insurance or other discount programs to save you money out of pocket to serve you and your entire family.
Step Six
Begin care and correction with specific gentle chiropractic care. Utilizing our cutting edge technique which involves no twisting popping or cracking we, will begin to make real change and address the cause of your health concerns.
